Community NewsFROM SARRATT PARISH COUNCIL - Annual Bonfire and Fireworks displayFROM SARRATT PARISH COUNCIL I MUCH REGRET to have to tell you that the annual Bonfire and Fireworks display organised by the Parish Council on the Green in November will not take place this year. Our problems arise from the stringent conditions now imposed by our insurers with the event taking place in such a restricted area, encircled by roads and houses and also the fact that our annual request for volunteers to marshal the area has been largely unanswered. This now makes it impossible for us to meet these insurance conditions. We have not taken this decision lightly and appreciate that this will break with the tradition over many years but I am sure you will appreciate that safety has to be paramount.
