Sarratt Parish Council - 8 June
It was agreed that the Council will contact the owner of the damaged bank in Dawes Lane, to advise on the how to re-instate the bank to its former state. It was reported that the duck house requires attention to ensure it is placed away from the bank, the Council to liaise with The Cricketers.
Planning – There were 4 applications this month with only 1 objection. The issue of keeping a diary system for Enforcement issues was discussed as it will assist Three Rivers District Council to take enforcement action. The Parish Plan steering group are currently trialling the on-line questionnaire and are preparing a detailed timetable for the next stage of the plan.
Policy & Resources – The Council’s Annual Return (audit papers) was agreed and signed at the meeting, these papers will be submitted for approval by the External Auditor.
Highways – The issue of resurfacing Council land was raised and it was agreed to forward a Policy covering permitted surfaces and materials etc, to all properties that may be affected. The VA signs for the village are still awaiting approval from Herts. Highways, next meeting in July.
Environment – It was reported that F14, the Bridle path near the M25 works has been temporarily closed by Herts. Highways, the Parish Council will try to ensure the path is re-opened as soon as possible. It was confirmed that the Chiltern Society have re-printed their “Walks around“ maps but unfortunately the previous map for Sarratt and Chipperfield has been changed and the Sarratt walks can now be found under “Bovingdon and Abbotts Langley” (map no 5).
It was confirmed that the flat area around Morton’s Pond will remain uncut in order to protect the flora and fauna.
