Sarratt Parish Council

Sarratt Parish Council  - 15th October 2013

Feedback from a Village Hall Committee meeting is that during November, the plan is to resurface the road outside the hall. A concern raised from the Council is that sufficient notice is given so that parking arrangements can be made with those who have hired the hall over the period in question.

Feedback from the Clerk’s report was that working with the crew filming for Pudsey the Movie went well. Also included was that the internal auditor carried out interim audit on 7 October and Council was given a clean bill of health – the report will come to the next meeting for approval.
The tenders for the woodland management work have been sent out with a closing date of 31 October. Thanks were expressed to everyone who had been involved with this as a lot of work was associated with this process.

At the TRDC Planning Committee meeting on 17 October, there were 2 Sarratt cases on the agenda. The Mulberry Bush has been recommended for approval which was very disappointing for the Council.
The Dawes Lane site has been recommended for deferral to enable it to be dealt with at the same time as the Church Lane site.

Councillor Musk has volunteered to sit on the Village Hall Committee as the Council’s representative. The co-option of a Councillor has been deferred as further expressions of interest have been received.

All the telephone boxes in the Parish have now been painted and repaired. Councillor Gell will be attending the Highways Liaison meeting on 21 October – the usual update on the current status of outstanding issues was given.

An advert had been placed for someone to help out with planning presentations and an appointment has been made. The person will start at the next meeting.

A reminder that the October meeting of the Council will take place on Tuesday 15th  at 7:30pm.

Please note:  the regular Council meetings have had to be moved from the 2nd to the 3rd Tuesday of the month which means a delay in reporting for Spotlight.  For those requiring  information on immediate issues, please feel free to attend the meetings or consult the SPC website http://www.sarrattparishcouncil.co.uk/  where draft minutes are posted within about a week of each meeting.
