Monday 9th December in Sarratt Village Hall from 2:15 – 4:30 p.m. Pop Up Community Cafe will have Small Acts visiting us with kindness bags

Since Small Acts of Kindness began in 2014, we have reached over 16,000 older people across Hertfordshire. Many older people struggle to keep warm when the weather turns cold. Our aim is that every older person feels warm in their home and connected to their community.

Warm in Winter gift bags

Small Acts of Kindness distribute Warm in Winter gift bags free of charge to older people aged over 55 across Hertfordshire. They contain essential practical keep warm items including; a fleece blanket, thermal hat, gloves, socks and leg warmers, a mug and hot drinks. These gift bags are an intervention that can help reduce the risks that older people face when they are cold.  Additionally, all gift bags contain our comprehensive Purple Pages information pack of literature that signposts them to relevant activities and services for older people.

Small Acts of Kindness Ambassadors
Small Acts of Kindness Ambassadors are local people, who can help us to find older people who might need a Warm in Winter gift bag, a home visit or other form of support.

Our Ambassadors can help signpost the people who they connect with to local activities, social meetings and groups that they know about or attend themselves. Nobody knows more about the area they live in than the people who live there. Our ever-growing family of Ambassadors connect communities with kindness.

If you know anyone in the Sarratt Parish then just email Angela at:  [email protected] or visit the Pop up Community Cafe on the 9th of December and pick up a kindness bag then and meet the team .
