Wow! What a busy term the Junior Journalists have had.
From the moment they were chosen to be a Junior Journalist, they were asking, “When can we deliver the Small Act of Kindness bags?” Thankfully, they did not have to wait very long and this term they were able to go out and about in Sarratt to spread some kindness, just in time for Christmas! We were very touched to receive an act of kindness in return when we were given a present to say thank you. The Junior Journalists said this proved that kindness is contagious. Not only were our generous Junior Journalists very excited to deliver these bags but also to become ambassadors for the charity itself, Small Acts of Kindness. They have been given the very important job of being the eyes and ears for the charity to help reach older people who may need a little kindness. This is something that all of the Junior Journalists are very passionate about. We still have two bags to give away so, if you know of anyone who you think needs a ‘Warm in Winter’ bag, please contact the school office.
As you can imagine, Christmas time in a school is very busy! This week alone, the junior Journalists have performed their Christmas Carol service twice, learned all about the story of Hanukah and Diwali, participated in a Christingle service and created Christmas cards! The Junior Journalists are looking forward to producing more blogs in the New Year but for now they are wrapped-up (pun intended!) in the festivities!
As our first term ends, and Christmas fast approaches, the Junior Journalists and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our readers and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will see you all in 2020!
From Mrs Pinner, on behalf of the very busy and very tired, Junior Journalists.
SCCF & the Parish website also would like to say “Thank you” to the Junior Journalists and Mrs Pinner for their contributions throughout the year!!
